Nature-Inspired Custom Play
A hand-sketched tipi village that had to play as well as it looked on paper
Problem Statement
Themed playgrounds often lose the idea in manufacturing: either the sculpture cannot be climbed safely, or the play value is stripped out to make a shape. This site needed both story and real play.
How Park Planet Added Value
Concept to climb
We worked from the tipi sketch — poles, canvas-like panels, rope nets, and a log climber — and specified commercial connections, surfacing, and ages so the village could be used every day.
Natural palette
Earthy browns, tans, and forest greens kept the structure in the landscape instead of competing with it.
The Result
The playground reads as a place, not a product. Kids get slides, nets, and towers; the park keeps the nature-inspired identity the community asked for.
